The abundance of accommodation and services on the Camino means that it is probably not necessary to camp (unless you really want to). It is also very hot in Summer so heavy clothing is not needed. Therefore it is possible to get away carrying very little. A sleeping bag / sleeping mummy is needed in most refugios.
